Lost Expedition: The Search for Roger Carlyle

The Carlyle Expedition Massacre

A Tragedy in Archeology

In the early part of this decade millionaire playboy Roger Carlyle led an expedition to Africa. His status as a young, rich, and charming bachelor captured the headlines from the departure in spring of 1919, through the massacre in May 1920, and the trial and hanging of those responsible in June of 1920.

Though tragic and sensational, no further reports have been reported on since.
